Compliance Analyst, Supply-Chain Diligence

Engagement
Full-time, in-house
Compensation
$85,000–$110,000
Location
Los Angeles (hybrid)

The engine of this firm is vendor-bench diligence: a US buyer hands us a list of suppliers and we produce a documented, defensible answer about where their hardware actually comes from. This role runs those reviews.

It is the best seat in the building for learning a regime while it is being written.

What you would do

  • Run Gatewell Protocol Level 1 and Level 2 vendor reviews: documentary review, independent supplier confirmations, and the evidence file behind each conclusion.
  • Trace bill-of-materials origin to component level and flag concentration by country, by value and by volume.
  • Screen entities against the UFLPA Entity List, the FCC Covered List, and OFAC/SDN, and document what you found and what you could not find.
  • Watch the register. Grants, public notices, and revocation orders publish continuously, and someone has to read all of them.
  • Write the client-facing memo. Our deliverable is a document, so the writing is the work.

Who this is for

  • Two to five years in trade compliance, supply-chain analysis, export controls, audit, or investigations. Customs brokerage, Big Four compliance, and forensic accounting backgrounds all transfer well.
  • You are comfortable concluding "the evidence does not support this" and defending it. Half of diligence is being willing to write the unwelcome sentence.
  • You are organized about sourcing. Every claim we publish has to be traceable to where it came from.
  • Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese reading ability is a real plus, since much of the primary documentation is not in English.

Compensation and location

  • $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience. Reading ability in Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese is paid at the upper end.
  • Full-time, in-house, hybrid. You work from our Los Angeles office as the week requires. This is not a remote role.
  • You must reside in Southern California and be authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor employment visas.

About Gatewell Group

Gatewell Group is a Los Angeles compliance firm built for the FCC Covered List era, and we work both sides of the gate. For US importers, distributors, EPCs and project developers, we run vendor-bench diligence and build the origin-evidence files that establish which hardware lines are covered, grandfathered, or clean. For manufacturers in Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Europe, we take a deliberately limited number of Conditional Approval filing engagements each year, with US manufacturing plans and domestic-content engineering behind them.

We publish the Gatewell Protocol for Origin Evidence, an open documentation standard for demonstrating non-covered origin, with a public certification registry. It is free to use, cite, and require of counterparties.

Gatewell Group is not a law firm; filings are prepared with supervising counsel. We screen every engagement and every hire against OFAC/SDN, and we do not take PRC-nexus work.
