Terms of Use
Effective August 9, 2026 · Applies to gatewellgroup.com and its subdomains
1. Informational content; no legal advice
Gatewell Group LLC ("Gatewell") is a regulatory consultancy, not a law firm. Nothing on this site — including the Gatewell Protocol for Origin Evidence, the Conditional Approval Playbook, insights, or any other material — is legal advice, and reading it creates no client relationship. Regulatory facts change quickly; content is current only as of its stated date. Obtain qualified counsel before acting on anything published here.
2. No reliance; no warranty
Site content, the Protocol documents, and the public certification registry are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Gatewell does not warrant accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose, and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on freely published material. Your sole relationship with Gatewell arises, if at all, under a signed engagement letter, whose terms control over these.
3. The Gatewell Protocol
The Gatewell Protocol for Origin Evidence is published as an open standard. You may reproduce and distribute unmodified copies with attribution, and you may implement its documentation practices in your own organization without fee. You may not publish modified versions under the Protocol name, or state or imply that a product or company "conforms" to the Protocol except through a certification issued by Gatewell and verifiable in the public registry.
4. Certification registry
The registry at gatewellgroup.com/protocol-registry reports certifications issued by Gatewell as of the time of query. A registry entry is not a government approval, endorsement, or guarantee of any regulatory outcome. Absence of an entry means a claimed certification should be treated as unverified. The registry API is offered as a convenience and may change or be withdrawn; total liability arising from registry use is limited to $100.
5. Conformity badge license
Gatewell conformity badges (Levels 1–3) are licensed, not granted, to certified organizations: a certificate holder may display the badge of its issued level, with its certification ID, on materials relating to the certified products, for the term of the certification. The license ends automatically on expiry, lapse, or revocation of the certification, whereupon all badge display must cease. Badges may not be altered, may not be displayed by uncertified parties, and may never be presented as a government mark or endorsement. Unauthorized display is copyright infringement and misrepresentation, and will be reported in the registry.
6. Case studies and testimonials
Where a Gatewell client has received consideration — including non-monetary consideration such as priority scheduling or extended support — in connection with a published case study or testimonial, that material connection is disclosed alongside the published material.
7. General
These terms are governed by California law. Gatewell may update them; the effective date above changes when it does. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stands. Questions: [email protected].
