Gatewell's Korean clients are midcap electronics manufacturers working through US market access for the first time. They should never feel like they are working through a translator. This role is why.
완전한 한국어·영어 이중언어 구사자를 찾습니다. 로스앤젤레스 정규직 채용입니다.
What you would do
- Handle day-to-day client communication with Korean manufacturers — email, KakaoTalk, and calls — in whichever language the client prefers.
- Translate and quality-check documents in both directions: intake questionnaires, evidence requests, filing correspondence, and engagement paperwork. Regulatory accuracy matters more than elegance here.
- Manage the Korean export voucher (수출바우처) paperwork and coordinate with KOTRA's Los Angeles desk.
- Support meetings across a fifteen-hour time difference, including occasional early-morning calls, and keep the record of what was agreed.
- Keep the CRM current on Korean-market accounts.
Who this is for
- Fully bilingual Korean and English, including professional written Korean. You will be drafting client correspondence, not just interpreting.
- Some exposure to export documentation, trade support, freight forwarding, or manufacturing client service. Not required, but it shortens the ramp considerably.
- Organized and reliable about follow-through. Much of this job is making sure nothing is dropped across a time zone gap.
- Authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor a visa for this role.
Compensation and location
- $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.
- Full-time, in-house. Hybrid from our office at 811 W 7th Street in downtown Los Angeles, a short distance from Koreatown.
- California paid sick leave and all other legally required benefits.
We screen every engagement and every hire against OFAC/SDN, and we do not take PRC-nexus work.
